This is a Cayman GTS that has already been set up for serious driving. The Last Naturally Aspirated Cayman GTS
Car and Driver tested a manual 2015 Cayman GTS to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, running the quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 113 mph, and recorded 1.04g on the skidpad. Motor Trend called the GTS "one of the most enjoyable cars to drive," praising its balance of power and capability, while Kelley Blue Book noted its communicative steering and well-controlled body movements. The press consensus at launch was that the GTS didn't transform the Cayman S so much as sharpen everything that was already good about it: Porsche added 15 hp and 7 lb-ft to the same 3.4-litre flat-six, lowered the ride height by 10 mm, and layered in Sport Chrono and more aggressive Sport Plus programming.
The 981-generation GTS has since become recognized as one of the last Porsches to combine a naturally aspirated flat-six, a mid-engine chassis, and genuinely everyday manners before the range moved toward turbocharging. That combination, more than rarity, is what has made the model increasingly sought after in the years since.
