1,498 horsepower at the wheels on E85. Not a claim, a dyno sheet.
Getting a Huracan there takes more than boost. Heffner Performance took the V10 out, rebuilt it on forged internals and fitted Xona Rotor turbos. Two years later they went through the transaxle as well, with a Dodson gear set, so the gearbox could hold everything the engine now makes. Over $144,000 of work, itemised job by job, and every receipt comes with the car.
White over black, on the full Vorsteiner kit and Vorsteiner wheels. Come and start it.
Entire build was completed at 27,848 miles.
The Race Spec Build
Heffner stripped the 5.2 litre V10 to the block and built it back as a race spec engine. Carrillo billet steel connecting rods. Custom CP forged pistons, pin fitted, with the rings filed to size. Custom liners honed in and the block deck surfaced. The rotating assembly balanced with heavy metal, then the whole thing blueprinted and assembled on OEM bearings and seals, with heavy duty valve springs and titanium retainers holding the top end together.
Boost comes from a Xona Rotor 95/69 turbo upgrade, fed by an upgraded front mount intercooler reservoir and a water line kit. Heffner dyno tuned it, then road tuned it, and the sheet came with the car.
You get an engine a specialist built on the bench, with its own dyno sheet, rather than a number somebody claims.
Built to Hold It
This is the part most builds skip, and it is the part that decides whether a car like this gets driven or gets trailered. In May 2023 the DL800 transaxle came apart properly and went back together with a Dodson Motorsport 1 to 7 gear set, a Wavetrac heavy duty limited slip differential, a Dodson titanium bolt kit, a new shaft speed sensor set, first and fifth gear synchronizers, and updated clutch frictions and steels. Every tolerance set, every part inspected, then final assembled.
Ahead of it sits a Dodson Motorsport Sportsman clutch on billet steel baskets, with the DL800 ProMax clutch upgrade fitted in March 2022.
So the gearbox is built to the same standard as the engine.
The Full Vorsteiner Kit
The aero and the wheels both came from Vorsteiner, which is rarer than you would think. Most of these end up with one brand's bodywork and another brand's wheels on them.
Vorsteiner cure their carbon in an autoclave in California, the same way aircraft parts are made. It is harder and more accurate than the wet laid carbon most kits are made from, and the difference turns up exactly where you would look for it. Panel gaps. Edges. The way a piece sits against the paint.
Go and look at it up close. That is where a kit like this earns its money.
Inside
The paddles are the first thing your hands find. Lamborghini fixed them to the column rather than the wheel and made them enormous, reaching above and below the rim, so they sit exactly where you left them no matter what the wheel is doing. Pull one and it goes off like a switch. No slack, no guessing, no hunting for it mid corner.
The rest of the cabin is built the same way. The starter lives under a red flip cover on the console, which is pure theatre and works on you anyway, every single time. The ANIMA switch on the wheel moves the car between Strada, Sport and Corsa, and those are three genuinely different cars rather than three graphics. Indicators, wipers and drive mode are all on the wheel, so your hands never leave it.
Leather through the cabin, black, and everything angled at the driver. Come and sit in it. That part does not photograph.
