Ferrari introduced the 812 Superfast at Geneva in 2017 as the successor to the F12berlinetta, and its name stands for 800 cv and 12 cylinders. This example was built in July 2017 and finished in Blu Tour de France over Cuoio. It was ordered with carbon fiber racing seats, a carbon fiber steering wheel with shift lights and carbon trim front and rear. The car has covered 10,461 miles and now runs on HRE wheels with a Novitec exhaust and upgraded springs.
The V12
Ferrari rated the 6.5-liter V12 at 789 hp at 8,500 rpm and 529 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm, and it revs to 8,900. Variable-length intake runners let it make 80 percent of that torque by 3,500 rpm, so the car pulls hard long before the top of the tachometer. The car is fitted with an aftermarket exhaust from Novitec.
Blu Tour de France
The car is finished in Blu Tour de France and was ordered with carbon fiber for the front bumper mouth, the front spoiler, the rear side bumper sections and the rear boot trim. Yellow brake calipers, Scuderia Ferrari shields on the front fenders and adaptive headlights were part of the order as well. It sits on HRE wheels with polished lips. A silver stripe with a black edge runs from the nose over the roof to the tail. The car is equipped with full body PPF.
Cuoio Throughout
The cabin is finished in Cuoio with black accents, and the car was ordered with Cuoio leather on the center console and lower dashboard too. Ferrari's large carbon fiber racing seats are finished in Cuoio with perforated black inserts and black stripes with the Cavallino stitched into the headrest. The driver's seat has the optional racing seat lifter to allow height adjustment. Other options include the carbon fiber steering wheel with LED shift lights, the aluminum tachometer, a passenger display, satellite radio, the high power hi-fi system, and front and rear parking cameras.
Chassis and Transmission
The 812 was the first Ferrari with electric power steering, and it works with Ferrari's "Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0" rear-wheel steering system to sharpen turn-in at low speed and steady the car at high speed. The optional front end lift is also installed, which raises the nose to clear steep driveways and ramps, and its springs have been upgraded. Carbon ceramic brakes are standard. Ferrari quoted 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph.
