The GT2 RS has appeared only a few times in the 911's history, and the 991 is the most recent of them. It takes the 911 Turbo's engine, adds larger turbochargers, and makes 690 hp. In September 2017 one of them went around the Nordschleife in 6:47.3, quicker than any production car had managed.
This one is satin black over black leather and Alcantara with yellow stitching, and it carries the Weissach Package. It was delivered new through Porsche Greenwich in Connecticut. The odometer shows just over 26,000 miles and the title is clean.
Exterior
Porsche used carbon fiber anywhere it saved meaningful weight. The hood and front fenders are carbon on every GT2 RS, and the Weissach Package adds a carbon roof. That's how a 911 making 690 hp comes in at 3,241 lb, and the Weissach Package takes more out again.
The Weissach Package includes a carbon fiber roof, special badging, and shaves off a large amount of unsprung and rotating weight, which changes how the car turns more than the figure on paper suggests.
Interior
The cabin is finished in black leather and Alcantara, stitched in yellow throughout. Porsche embroidered GT2RS on the headrests in the same yellow, fitted Racing Yellow seat belts, and painted the key to match. Whoever ordered this car chose a color and used it everywhere.
Engine
The 3.8-liter flat-six started development as the 911 Turbo's engine. Porsche fitted larger turbochargers, increased boost, and tuned the car to produce 690 hp at 7,000 rpm and 553 lb-ft, more than any road-going 911 had made before it.
It also has factory water injection, which almost nothing else on the road does. A tank of distilled water sprays a fine mist into the charge air, cooling intake air temperatures and allowing the engine to run more aggressive ignition timing.
Drivetrain
A seven-speed PDK sends the power to the rear wheels alone. The 911 Turbo of the same era drove all four wheels and made less power than this. Porsche quoted 2.7 seconds to 60 mph and 211 mph flat out.
A good number of options fitted to the car make it much easier to take out for a drive. The front axle lift raises the nose to clear driveways and speed bumps that'd otherwise cost you a splitter. The 23.7-gallon long-range tank puts more distance between fuel stops, on a road trip or a track day. A fire extinguisher is fitted for emergencies, and the Sport Chrono Package allows easy lap time recording for while you're on the track.
