This 2022 Maserati MC20 is finished in Giallo Genio over a black and yellow interior and shows 9,507 miles. Power comes from the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 behind the cabin, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch.
It was finished on 27 December 2021 and landed in the United States that February, carrying $36,550 of options on a $212,000 car.
Butterfly doors, and a carbon fibre monocoque underneath. Shown by appointment in Murray, Utah.
Nettuno
Maserati borrowed an idea from Formula 1. Every cylinder gets a second spark plug, tucked inside a small chamber above the main one. Work the car hard and that little chamber fires first, shooting flame down into the cylinder and lighting the fuel from several points at once. The fuel burns faster and more completely.
The MC20 was the first road car to get pre-chamber ignition.
A carbon fibre engine cover sits over the top of it, under glass.
Giallo Genio
Giallo Genio Glossy. Maserati mixed it from the dark blue and the yellow of Modena's city colours.
Black roof over it.
Twenty-inch Birdcage Glossy Dark Miron wheels, with yellow brake calipers behind them. Electrochromic exterior mirrors.
The bodywork carries the colour across long unbroken surfaces, and the metallic shifts with the angle you view it from.
Butterfly doors hinge up and out of the monocoque.
Inside
Black and yellow, in upgraded leather and Alcantara, with black carpets and a black belt.
The dashboard, door panels and bolsters are black on black, and so are the seat centres and sides. The cluster cap is black and yellow. The seat backs are painted Hyper Dark Miron. A trident is stitched into the cabin.
Six-way power sport seats, heated. Carbon Macrotwill trim. Sport steering wheel with a carbon insert.
Two displays and a rotary drive mode selector. Everything you want is one reach away.
High Premium Sound System. Blind spot detection. Remote start.
Chassis and Drivetrain
Carbon fibre monocoque. That is where the low weight comes from.
Eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle driving the rear wheels, with an electronic limited-slip differential.
Suspension lifter fitted, which raises the nose for a driveway.
Performance
621 horsepower at 7,500 rpm.
538 lb-ft of torque from 3,000 rpm.
2.9 seconds to 62 mph.
202 mph top speed.
3,306 pounds.
Figures as published by Maserati.

Rarity in This Colour
Giallo Genio is one of six colours Maserati created for the MC20's launch, and all six were made exclusive to the car.
It was the dearest of them, and it is the one they took from Modena, the city where the car and the Nettuno are both built.
Why This One Matters
Maserati had not built a supercar since the MC12 in 2004. The MC20 is the one that ended that, and the first they did entirely themselves: their own engine, their own chassis, their own car.
Yours will be the only one at the meet.
